My A3 settings are high to v.high (with all AA turned off), even with my new card I have kept them here, the main reason why and the answer to your FOV question is that my screen resolution is 5760 x 1080 - so the FOV is "normal".
The first pic is un-cropped but reduced in size by 50%, hence why the pixels look great. The 2nd pic is 100% normal pixel size but heavily cropped. The top is correct but the bottom is missing about 40mm and it is only about 60% it's normal width. In fact if you look in the top right corner on the rotor blade, you will see the crouching man icon, which is normally in the top right corner of the screen on a "normal" screen res but in this shot it is a little way in from the corner.

Link not working numbnuts, plus it's not even a JPG/PNG/GIF - right click on the image and select "Copy Image Location" (on Firefox) and then paste that between the |IMG| tags in the post.
