Mission Requirements - Please Read

Post by Randy Andy »

First and foremost, thank you for choosing to host your ArmA3 missions on our server.

There are however some requirements which must be adhered to before any mission can be hosted and played on our server..

Naming Protocol
All missions must be named in the following format:
Mission Name 20 [RIP] Operation Example v1 - (Size, TAG, Mission Name, Version)
File Name 20_[RIP]_Operation_Example_v1.Altis.pbo - (Size, TAG, Mission Name, Version, island, file type)
We will NOT accept ZIP files, only PBO files

REQUIREMENT IN INIT.SQF
Please see our basic requirement for all mission "init.sqf" files on our WIKI page at the following link:
https://www.rustyinplaces.org/arma/325- ... ion-making

Name Recognition
All missions on the [RIP] server must have some form of face recognition. We recommend DFS Recognise by Deadfast, or a modified version from our friends at TOUR. Other versions are accepted but must be stable.

JIP Friendly
All missions need to be Join In Progress Friendly. This means, players should be able to join the mission in progress and also when players disconnect, the slot should remain accessible. We recommend ensuring missions have a "RESPAWN_WEST" marker (or which ever side is playable) to allow this.

Revive
In RIP we like to see 1 life missions. However, REVIVE (not respawn) is also preferred. We recommend missions to use AIS Revive (A3 wounding system) by [TcB] -Psycho- set up as the following:
-Players to allow damage in revive state
-Reasonable revive time (5 mins)

Mission Briefing
All missions should have a working mission briefing. Missions with out a briefing, will not get played..

Mission Test
[RIP] missions have to go through a Quality Assurance process where the missions are tested for the following:
-Bug Testing
-JIP Testing
-Revive Testing
-Dedicated Server Testing
-RPT Check

All missions must have a clean, dedicated server tested RPT file before it can be introduced to our main server. [RIP] has a Dedicated Testing Server which we will allow you to use for testing purposes with a [RIP] member present. You will have to arrange this with us though..
IF YOU KNOWINGLY SUBMIT A PBO FOR TESTING WHICH HAS BAD LOOPS AND SERVER CRASHING SCRIPTS YOUR MISSION WILL BE REJECTED AND FURTHER HOSTING WITH [RIP] MAY BE DENIED! - Please test locally first and check your RPT for bugs.

Public Forum Post
All missions that are hosted on our server, need to have a Mission Post created in this forum so we can feed back to you important information regarding your mission. This also allows you to communicate fixes and versions back to us.

Please read our guidelines for mission posting
https://www.rustyinplaces.org/forums/37 ... 33#p275733

We hope this check list does not deter you from hosting a mission with Rusty In Places and, we look forward to seeing your creations on our servers.
