Rusty In Places

Hello Squaddies...
Unfortunately my GPU has died. I have no alternative and GPU prices is Bosnia are sky high for my salary (1k EUR). So I'll have to wait better days, just so you know, I'll be active on forums, I may even log to TS but I won't be able to play Squad.
I'm sorry and generally I'm really sad because of the situation.

ah man that sucks, i used to have like a backup gpu that i used when stuff like that happened or when my friends had the problem but i sold it a while back when i needed money I wouldve shipped it to u

As you all may notice I got back in the game. I took my old GPU and "baked" it in oven ... it's working for now...

I have nVidia 1060 6G - yeah I know it's not top notch.. but it runs squad pretty decent.

Well if it's "cold solder" problem or bad solder.. You may fix it by reheating it to 190°C for 10min and letting it cool down to room temp.

If some deformation while "hot" made the GPU chip or memory chip sprain and loose contact, when gpu cools down that contact won't be fixed, unless you reheat it and solder it again.

This is a temporary fix... Lasts for a few months and gets to the same problem... Since you are fixing symptoms and not the issue that causes contact to go loose.

Correct me If I am wrong but does that not release toxic fumes into your oven?
They always say to use a oven you dont use anymore..
