Ranks and Promotion Protocol

At [RIP] Rusty In Places we use a ranking system for our members which is based on the British Army, with members being promoted through the ranks based on a mixture of their activity within the community and length of membership. Our ranks and current requirements for promotion can be seen below.

In addition, we also have a Command Staff (CS) system in place for members who have taken on clan management roles such as Game Commander (GC) that show their position of responsibility. Then we also have member roles for those that contribute to the running of the clan such as Recruitment Officer (RO). The clan roles can be found here.

Officer Ranks

Officer ranks are given to those members who are in a Command Staff position and have been in our community for at least 4 years. Once a member has reached an officer rank, then further promotion is granted by a Clan Leader based on their commitment, merit and meeting the requirements.

All officer ranks are granted by a Field Marshal or above and are based upon the individual being active within our community. They should be seen on our servers, in our TeamSpeak and posting on our forums. Unlike the member ranks, officer rank promotions are only processed one or twice per year.

Member Ranks

The Game Commander can grant a promotion for most member ranks, with a few requiring the Field Marshall.

To be promoted above the rank of PVT, members must have agreed to the Junior Admin rules and be awarded the Junior Admin badge. Members who are rank Cpl or above must have agreed to Senior Admin rules, have BattleMetrics admin and be awarded the Senior Admin badge. All ranks also require the individual being active within our community. They should be seen on our servers, in our TeamSpeak and posting on our forums.

On the very rare occasion, members who show high levels of activity and commitment can be awarded a promotion sooner than the requirements listed, however it will take longer for the next promotion. Members with low activity levels may take longer to get promoted than the guidelines listed and is down to Field Marshal discretion.

Returning or Inactive Members

Members that have been inactive (MIA or On Leave) will have service days reduced by number of days not active. Returning members will start their time in rank from their re-join date.
